Q5 TDI emissions - Who has not gotten it done yet?
#2
I am at 86,000 miles and have not had it done yet. I have a Fidelity extended warranty through 100,000 miles. I will get the fix just before the sooner of 100,000 miles or the April 2020 deadline to claim the final payment. That way, I will minimize the overlap of the Fidelity and emissions warranties. I expect to have the emissions warranty through almost 148,000 miles😁.

I haven’t done the “fix” either. My 14 Q5 TDI with 75000 runs great. This Audi bought new in 2013 has been a great car, power and performance and great mpg too. I flipped my previous car a BMW 335d because of so many service engine lights, I’m not looking to have similar situations as I’ve read here on the FORUM with the “fix”.

Couldn’t wait. Had to do it before I hit something that potentially would have totaled the car and I would have been out the $4100. I am now at 105K and I have gotten use to the reduced mileage, quirky shifting and loss of 0-60 quickness. With about 10k under my belt after the fix, I can honestly say it is not the car I bought 4 years ago but it’s still an awesome ride.
