Default Which OBD II Code Reader App

Our Audi: 2014 Audi Q5 2.0t Premium Plus Auto 148K miles on the clock. I have a door handle sensor that's gone out and I'd like to determine which one it is, before just randomly replacing one.
My ANCEL AD310 code reader is not picking up my door handle sensor error, even though this Ancel code reader claims that it work with my year Audi. My questions is, which Android App and Bluetooth, plug-in
scanner are you guys using? I've seen an app and bluetooth scanner used in a Youtube video that was able to read the door handle sensor fault, but I have no idea what the poster was using. Thanks for your help.

OBD11. It is a complete scanner for Audi and you get the bonus of custom adaptations, things like fog lights with high beams or the speedo/tach needle sweep on start-up.

Thank you for the tip. Which plug-in bluetooth scanner do you recommend? Just anything off of Ebay or Amazon?

Not really sure about the differences between versions. When I purchased it years ago, I believe there was only one option. Hopefully someone else can offer some guidance.

VCDS is the better tool for troubleshooting. But it requires Windows. If you need a mobile device based app, then OBDeleven (not OBD11) is probably the best option out there. Like Ross-Tech's VCDS software requires a Ross-Tech VCDS cable, VoltasIT's OBDeleven app requires VoltasIT's OBDeleven device. https://obdeleven.com/products?carBrand=Audi Don't bother with the original white device, get the second gen black device. The color stripe on it means nothing. There's no much you can do without the annual Pro subscription, just read codes, clear codes, read measuring values (they call it live data). But reading codes is all you need for your current task.
