Could have easily been a respray. Car is 3 years old, and the color combo looks a bit odd.

Can't see how the folks in Germany would have let it leave with that awful wood trim mixed with such a bold color. If you going for something that sporty, it should have been stainless or carbon fiber trim.

Also can't see after spending an extra $5k on a color that they would have sold it so soon. Buy hey, who knows.

The Q5 definitely isn't Papaya; there's enough lighting such that you'd see any pearl/metallic effect, so it's just a flat orange.

For each his own - someone liked and payed extra $$$ to get this color.
When we was on tour in BMW factory in Munich, they show us same example of individual orders: colors or ornament on the hood. How about picture of white head eagle on hood of your new M3? Saw that as a sample on the wall in that building. Some one from US ordered.

I was seating during test in E90 320i (European version) - that all inside and out has M emblem. Someone ordered and payed extra - BMW will delivered. Same for any other manufactures.
