MY 2012/13 Update
Heads up to everyone holding out for the MY 2013 Q5 (like me, lol). I just received the following e-mail from my Audi dealer no more than 5 minutes ago:
"The Q5 is now officially “built out” so no more orders can be taken for the current model year. We hope to see the order guides around May or so, with delivery of the first 2013 units (generally speaking for the whole Audi range) around late August. However, the Q5 might be October before seeing it; we should know more soon..."
With that said, it's just a matter of holding our breath now to see what the '13 Q5 order guides hold for us. Let's hope they are a pleasant surprise!

i ordered a few weeks ago and was told that production week is 17, which means my q5 will be produced late april/early may. given that the 2012 is all built out, does that mean my car will be MY2012 or MY2013? and if the 2012 is all built out when will the 2013 q5 production start? any ideas anyone as this bit of news seems very strange and inconsistent with what my dealer told me? i was told the facelifted q5 (if there is one officially) will not be produced till the end of the year.

My guess is that you will get a 2012 based on your Apr/May build date.

My Money's on the MY12
Knew going in it would be an MY11 when purchased already in "queue" on 5/3/11, was built on 5/25 or so, (Week 21 or 22 I believe), RO 5/29, RO 6/10 or so at Brunswick GA , arrived at dealer on 6/16, picked up 6/18. Believe MY12s started surfacing here in late July or early August last year.

Waterburyr can you ask your dealer what that means please, otherwise it makes no sense as they are still producing the Q5, or are they going to shut production for 3 months and then start producing the MY2013 in june?

that is what i thought, that it will be an MY2012. so what does it mean MY2012 are 'all built out'?

bhjr21, FYI, All Built Out simply means they're not taking any new orders at this time. Any orders that have already been placed and have a build / delivery date will be MY2012. MY2013 orders cannot be placed yet, and won't be available until the Audi system is updated.
thanks beachrat, but i had a chat to my dealer and one nearby and both told me that they can still order a Q5 the same as before (that is an MY2012). they told me the change over in MY is june/july. likewise there is no official word from the any country that MY2012 is no longer available. looking at the audi sites from europe, us, australia, asia and it is still the MY2012 that is advertised. thus it makes no sense to me why audi would continue to advertise a car that can no longer be ordered and there is no official word about the MY2013 being the facelifted/updated Q5 anyway. hence there seems to be a lot of inconsistent information and for me personally until there is some official word, the rest is just speculation. i could be wrong but my feeling is that if there is a facelifted Q5 on the way it will not arrive till late this year or perhaps next (that is it may even be the MY2014).
