Default Liqui Moly Oil

Does anybody have experience with Liqui Moly Oil in their Audi? The Leichtlauf 5W40 is VW502.00 approved and is only $41 for a 5qt bottle on Amazon.

I have previously only used Castrol Edge which is similarly priced.

All comments/opinioons would be greatly appreciated.

Liqui Moly is good oil. Have used in other Audi's/VW's and Mini's. Not seen any problems. I tend to favor Mobil 1 0W40 European formula, but for the Mini a 5W30 is recommended and I use the Liqui Moly. The Mobil 1 can be had for about $25-$30 at Walmart for a 5qt jug.

Oil is one of those thing where everyone has a very strong personal opinion. My advice would be to use one that matches the specs, is a synthetic and meets your price point.

Very good product, Awry. You should have absolutely no concerns about using it (as long as it meets VAG 502.00).

I've used the 4200 in my TDI Passat and I've never had any issues.

Full synthetic Mobil1 is in fact highly doped with moly. Always has been. They just don't brag about it.

It's what I use. I think as long as it meets Audi's specs you're OK.

Thanks for all the responses! I need to do an oil change this month and I think I will try it.

My local Audi Indy uses Liqui Moly and so I have the recommended 5w-40 in my 2.0T Q5. 8000 KM later the engine has used no oil and is running fine ( oil change due in 1000KM)
