Default Left front wheel well / tire mystery

Shortly after my 2011 Q5 3.2's 15K maintenance check at the local Audi, I went and bought four new tires (the old ones had worn down to almost nothing). And ever since putting the tires on I've noticed a strange problem.

When the engine is cold, and I start the car up, back up, or move in a parking lot at slow speeds, I find that if I turn the wheel to the right while the car is moving, I feel a wobble in the steering wheel and a grumble coming from the front left wheel well. It feels exactly like the tire is actually coming into contact with the wheel well. It'll keep happening for a few minutes even at up to speeds of like 20 mph thru an intersection where say the light is green and I am turning right. As I enter the turn, I once again feel what seems like the left front tire rubbing against the wheel well.

Anyone know what this is? Anyone else had this prob with Q5?

Are you sure you have the right size tires on? There is very, very little clearance on the Q between the tires and the control arms on the front wheels.

The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport 255/45ZR20 (105Y).

Check to be sure all wheel bolts are tight. They'll often come loose after a re-fit if the shop didn't torque them right.

I would also go back to the place that did the tires and let them rotate them.
