Hi all,

There seems to be another issue with the Q5. Not sure if their cable is not made well or if it's a problem with all Q5's but the iphone wire that came with my Q5 doesn't plug in with my iphone tightly. It's so loose that when I drive and brake, the charger would come loose off the phone. Has anyone else experienced this?

Mine works fine and isn't loose, take it back to dealer and they'll replace

Also. Is there an iPhone 5 cable available?

You need to buy the Apple Lightning to 30-pin Adapter cord. The cord is 8” long. It sells for $39.
I first tried the Apple Lightning to 30-pin Adapter, but it did not plug into my iPhone 5 with the case on it. This one sells for $29 and should work if you don’t have a case on the iPhone. It’s just a straight adapter, without any cord between each end.
I have one in my S5 and my Q5.

You should get a cable in the glove box that connects from the port to an iPhone 30 pin connector. All phones other than the iPhone 5 (lightning connector). My P+ 2013 came with a cord that had a blue connector. If you want video support and album art, you'll need to have them swap this cable out with the cable with the red connector, my dealer did this for free. I have connected an old iPhone 3GS and a iPhone 4S. Both work perfectly, showing video and album art.

I'm not sure if a cable is provided in non-nav cars? My Q5 has the MMI plus and Nav.

My dealer wouldn't do it for free but they gave me a break on the price. It works well but I've noticed that the iPod sometimes looses its place and starts back at the beginning.
