Waiting to see if they can get both technologies on motherboard and solve the android auto issue. That would be a new hardware I guess.
Daniel of RSNAV indicated recently they are working on built-in wireless carplay in next hardware version. I believe he called it "version 3.5".

Ahh man...now i have to wait longer! lol. I plug in 90% of the time anyway, but still a nice feature to have.

Does that mean you would not have to purchase the separate USB wireless adapter? are there any other hardware improvements?
If it included wireless Android auto I would definitely wait for it.

Like the idrive/navi **** controls (installs on the console on coin holder) maybe which some other android B8 navi products come with for radio concert (non mmi). A Steering wheel navi add on, might be the solution for prefadelift Q5s rather than changing steering wheels. Oh.

Just updated to the latest firmware. Anyone know how to get back to the original Audi AMI interface? The "Audi Oem" application that used to be in the app drawer isn't there anymore. Not sure if they renamed it or something.

On the main screen, the FM/CD selection will bring you to MMI. Also, the MMI CAR button, RADIO button or long press of the MMI MENU button should work.

It's obviously not cheap at $725 shipped, but I don't really spend money on clothes/jewelry/going out/etc, so I felt like I deserved the splurge. Plus it's something that I interact with and enjoy every...single...day and that makes it worth it to me.

OP
Looks awesome . Does the 10.25 just mount over the existing 8.8 size hole in the dash ? Just wondering how the conversion would work . I have a 2012 with the oem 8.8 screen.

Hi km new tk this forms but I've got some helpful tips from it a few times. I installed a 10.25 android head unit in my car and everything plugged in as it should have. But when I turned everything on no power to the radio center console functions? I have power tk the heater/ac unit but the unit above it that controls the fm radio setup car info media does not have power? And when i first powered it up I had sound? Now there is no sound coming out? K know the amp is working cause I have a aftermarket system and I can hear them. I haven't checked the trunk for the fuse? And k do have vcds to enable the aux. But id like to know why I don't have power?
