Went to the dealer to have him check if my VIN (11/09 build date, plastic housing) is listed for a replacement and it came back clean. I guess I will be driving around with the plastic pump until it fails.

Did you dealer check for RVU, require vehicle update, or recall. I had to remind my dealer that its not on the Audi recall list on their web site, but it is on the RVU list.

Thanks for the great photos. My Q5 is a March 2010 build date and has the aluminum housing.

My 2010, with a build date of June 2009,is being replaced Tuesday per the dealership.

I just had him look "in the computer", not specificly for the RVU list. I guess I have to call him again :-)

Just checked with my dealer and I am on the RVU list...will get this taken care of ASAP.

My 2010 with build date 07/09 is also on the list and getting fixed next week.
