How long on average from order to delivery these days?

How long on average from order to delivery these days?
Thinking of getting an order for a MY15 TDI ... dealer says 12 - 14 weeks, but i know my 08 A5 arrived in just a little over 10 weeks. So assuming there are immediate allocations available, how long does it take these days from people's experience? Just wondering ... many thanks in advance.

We haven't received our Q5 yet, but if all goes well, it'll be around 10 weeks from order to delivery.
It will really vary depending on whether the dealer can grab a unit that is already being slated for production and modify it to meet your requirements or whether they have to start from scratch.

Can't give you a definitive answer but my dealer placed the order on September 2nd and received information that the order will be placed into production on October 27th. Then actual production, delivery to port, nice ride across the Atlantic, etc.

Thanks a lot to everyone that responded - gives me a better idea. Mine will be an order from scratch (nothing in the factory order bank), but immediate allocation available. Seems like 14 weeks from the responses above? Wondering if this is purely because of the August vacation?

Ordered Mar-16, built Apr-7, onloaded ~4/15, offloaded ~May-15, picked up at dealer May-23. Just under 10 weeks, but they highjacked an existing factory order and reconfigured it to ours. Pickup was within 4 days of the date I was originally quoted at the time I signed the order.
