hey guys looking to find out what lease deals you guys are getting...
I'm looking at a 2013 Q5 2.0T Premium Plus/ Nav. The dealer here in Jersey is offering $580 per month with 10k mile allowance.
Im currently in lease a 2012 Q5 premium (no nav) and paying $560, do you think it is worth the upgrade. What are you guys being offered when trying to lease?
thanks in advance!

Hi Nemesisa6,
I think we're missing some key data to make an informed decision on upgrading.
1. How many months is your current lease?
2. What is your mileage allotment on your current lease?
3. Will you need to put any additional money down to obtain the new Q?
4. Do you like your Q enough to start your lease over?
Making some assumptions based off the information you provided:
1. $0 out of pocket
2. The new lease is 36-months
3. Navigation package is $3,550 MSRP.
4. Residual is 53%
Doing some rough math:
At MSRP: $3,550 x 53% = $1881.5 / 36 = $52.26 a month
At Invoice: $3,301 x 53% = $1,749 / 36 = $48.59 a month
So it should cost roughly $48.59 more a month to have Nav, so with $0 down and assuming you're ok with adding a year onto your lease (and you're not losing mileage), seems like $20 more a month is a good deal.
Personally, I would rather use my iPhone for Nav and in a few years, see what the new Q or the competitors offer when my lease is up.

If you do not use the NAV do you think it was worth it to pay for it, for the other features of MMI(back up camera, color screen in dash, MMI Music hard drive etc..)
the NAV is on my list of features to debate about.. in my day to day driving I would probably not use it for navigation, but would be interested for the extra features and traffic reporting. Living in Miami there is always congestion to deal with and having the ability to see the traffic it automatically would be nice..

rkdiddy.. I see in your signature that you have the NAV on your Q5..

I do like the backup camera, I personally think there should be a law that every car comes equipped with BCs for safety reasons.
If it wasn't for my Wife insisting on the Nav, I would probably skip. Also keep in mind the live traffic service is via Sirus and is only free for a set amount of time, the. You have to pay to keep it.
Definitely not trying to talk you out of it, I do think the Nav adds value, just trying to give you the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision.
Cheers.
