Default Help selecting a cabin air filter brand?

Hey all, 2015 Q5 S-Line 3.0L here, figuring with all the wildfire smoke I should be looking at replacing the cabin air filter soon.

Found a local parts place with many different options for different prices. Any advice on which brands are the best? Prices are CAD just so you know... Anything here I should be staying away from? Thanks!

For less expensive replacements, I look for Meyle first and then Hengst, but I tried
this from amazon this from amazon
and it seems as good as the $75 Hengst. I tried a couple which were very light weight so I thought they didn't have the same amount of activated charcoal if they had any at all. I think they dyed the filter element black. Sorry, I forgot what brands those were.. I realize these are completely different from yours, but you can probably extrapolate from this.

HTH,
Tom

I tried several brands over the years but still can not tell any difference between charcoal version and one without it. Anyone ?

I stick with OEM. From past experience I found third party filters were less "robust" in weight, seemingly from less charcoal filler or lightweight build quality.

Mann is OEM, at least on the A6

If those were my options I would go with the Hengst Carbon filter.
