HELP!!!!...Creaking Sound 2010 Q5 (NOT The Cargo cover issue)
Hi All the Q5 members:
I have a 2010 Q5 Sline.....so far so good....48k miles no problem at all....but recently, i discovered an annoying sound when the car go over or through a bumpy roads or a road that is not smooth at all. I read few people who offered a solution to this annoying squeaking sound.....I took off the cargo cover, but it seems it is not the cause of the problem. I also put lubricants in ALL the areas on the back of the car included the hatch that might be the cause of this creaking sound....But no HELP....
Can anyone here might have the same problem? and might be help to help me out? I don't want to bring back to the dealer yet cuz it takes time and i don't think they would be any helpful.......
Thank you guys in advance........

Try driving those bumps with the driver's side rear seat back in the down position and see if the noise disappears. Mine was the culprit of some noise and the dealer was able to fix it.

You may want to take a look at the spare. The plastic nut and post will creak in the cold. I apply some Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to the threads on the post and the nut and this solution generally lasts about 12 to 18 months before I have to re-apply.
This along with the previously posted link for the center seat back latch fix makes my Q squeak and creak free winter and summer (I have an sline with 20's).
