From what I've gathered from various threads, posted results, and some PM exchanges, it appears H&R has updated the springs included with the -3 for the US. I'm planning to go with the -3 and will confirm the parts numbers match what RUSSQ posted before installing. Another member spoke with H&R as well, and they were told that the spring rates were different on the -3 kit, although the parts numbers appear identical on the front while the rears are slightly different. The -1 have a consistent and proven drop, but I'd prefer the supposed proper spring rates on the -3 if H&R can be believed.

Are the -3 springs less stiff than -1? they supposedly provide a less aggressive drop, but some have reported 2" drops w/ -3??
I went with -1 and found them to be stiffer than expected on the sq.

For the drops, RUSSQ reported his ground-to-fender as 31" which I believe is identical to what stanbSQ5 reported as well. The H&R advertised drop seems to be from the Euro-spec SQ5.

Not sure about the exact spring rates, but I would have thought the -3 if specific to the SQ5 would be stiffer. That being said, if you look at the pictures in this thread, the part numbers on the front springs are identical.

If H&R used the Euro-spec Sq5 as a reference for the -3 drop numbers, this explains a lot. I wonder how different the rears springs and ride might be relative to -1, if at all.

The Sepang Blue belongs to my wife and the photo you've used is tilted every so slightly up in the front...therefore not exactly a fair comparison.
