What a co-incidence. Two new users reply to the same thread in order. Both have Q5/cuefive at the start of their username. They have consecutive account numbers as in just registered. Both appear to be in Canada. Both email addresses lead to Shill type posts on other forums. Definite watch in my book!
Hope I am wrong and this is just welcome aboard, hope you enjoy your Q5s

Hi everyone,
Just joined the forum, and was looking for something like this for my car.
Its a 2012 Orca Black Q5, fully loaded.
After reading an earlier members post, it seems like your warranty is void. I also called Audi and they said that they do not approve of Pfaff tunes. Maybe that one dealership was trying to discourage me, but I donno man. if indeed the ECU was taken out, then the tabs are broken and therefore your warranty would be void no?

Did my first long distance drive with GIAC installed. Before the tune, I was getting ~10 L/100km (24MPG) driving 50km highway maintaining a speed of 130km/h. Today, I got 8.5 L/100km (28MPG) on the same trip. Gotta say, I'm very happy with it, although city mileage still seems to suffer, bringing ~11 L/100km (22MPG) up to ~13 L/100km (18MPG).

While I've always had better mpg on tuned vehicles in the past...
One thing we both have to consider on quoting mpg is that with some vehicles the mpg is calculated based on the 'stock' fuel puise, etc. and tuned vehicles don't have that same pulse width, etc...
at any rate, mpg is NOT high on my priority list,
so it is just a beneficial byproduct of tuning...

LOL it's a concern for me when I have 200km to a half tank! Maybe because the novelty of the tune hasn't worn off yet. Any red light intersection is just a countdown for me right now.

OK now I have a much better feel for the tune. Drive like a granny until you're at normal operating temp, or else the car will feel 'shuddery'. Take it easy on the pedal - don't floor it, it's not gonna make any difference really. It excels on the highway, I got about 640km to the last tank (90% of the driving was highway).
Still happy with it.
