They are called switchback LEDs.

I never seen them for the h16 and if they are available you will have to do a lot of coding and wiring with load resistors to get it to work.

Maybe, I described them wrong. I am looking for a LED that is clear when it is turned off (no power) and Amber when it is on(power is applied).

I had a set in F150, Mazda 3, and Lincoln...just seem to be having issues finding them for my Q5s.

You didn't describe it wrong. The "2x50W PSY24W HIGH POWER CREE XPE LED AMBER INDICATOR LIGHT BULB" appears clear, but illuminates in amber light when energized. The "amber" in the description is to distinguish it from a white shining LED as used in, say, a backup light.

I apologize.
I could have misunderstood, our LEDs have a white PCB board back and then it illuminates amber:

The reason why they are white is so it is more stealthy in the housing vs having an amber bulb color when it is not lit.

Thank you for the reply, sorry for the misunderstanding.

We went with a white PCB BOARD vs silver as it looked cleaner and people like it, it is not a common design as it is more expensive vs the aluminum housing.
