So the issue has resumed as of yesterday. I am fed-up. We are calling AOA with an ultimatum:
(1) fix the car so that this same malfunction will never, ever occur again.
or
(2) give us a new car that will satisfy the costly purchase that we made.
I don't know what the reaction will be.

Well I understand evap errors are common and can take A LOT of time to try and diagnose where the problem is occurring. I'm having large leak error on my '06 A4 but with ALL the mechanical issues I have had with the car it is no surprise at this point. Every time something has been replaced or repaired literally something else breaks or goes wrong. Welcome to the VW/Audi experience. Fun car to drive and comfortable but very costly to keep up with on repairs after warranty expires.
