My wife wasn't a big fan of the 20inch S-line wheels either, initially. She loves them now. Wasn't a fan of the blacked out grill, so went with the standard S-line. Regardless, it's a beautiful car with really sharp looks.

As for the winter tires, it is a non-question here in Germany. If the weather requires snow (or All season with the mud + snow designator), they must be installed. Therefore, you need to have 'em on. Snow tires are less effective at 20", so getting a different set of wheels makes a lot of sense anyways. We went on tire rack and ordered a set of Enkei Performance GP5s with 235/60R-18 Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 XLs. They were reasonably priced and will last at least a couple of seasons.

Don't over-think the need. If weather dictates you need them, get them.
