cross shopping between Acura and Audi, have a few questions
#11
i'm in the market for a 5-seat or 7-seat SUV with budget of around $45k. right now i'm cross shopping between Acura RDX Tech, MDX Tech and Q5 2.0T PP. AWD isn't necessary, therefore i didn't choose them on the Acuras. i have following questions:
Q5 has a smallish interior space, i need to fit a child seat in the rear, can it still accommodate 2 more adults in rear with the child seat?
Q5's overall styling is long in the tooth, i have a feeling it will get a total redesign soon while both Acuras are relatively new especially the MDX, anyone wants to chime in on that?
how reliable is the 2.0T, i know they bumped up the hp number for the '14 models. i had an '06 A3 with the same motor, haven't had any issues for 20k miles before i sold it.

I have both the 2014 MDX Tech and the 2013 Q5 2.0T. There is no comparison.
The Q5 is for myself and 1-2 other passengers.
The MDX is for our family of 5.
The new MDX is a great 5-7 passenger car, but the interior fit and finish is disappointing. The Q5 is in a whole different class. The same can be said for how it drives as well.

You cant go wrong with either MDX or Q5!
Top of the list are the Audi Q5, Acura MDX and Chevrolet Corvette.

I just got rid of a 2011 MDX for the 2014 Q5. I looked at 2014 and the styling was just too soccer mom like, but I will tell you that my 2011 in the snow was awesome. A very reliable vehicle and probably the best AWD system on the market.
The Acura MDX is very nice before they changed the styling. The options that you get with the Tech package on the 2014 will in no doubt set you a tad over $50K. If you get a Tech package from Acura for $45K OTD, do not think about it, run with it!
As you can see in my signature, I still have my 2011 Acura TL. I love my Honda's too.
