So it's just the bra that get yellowish? If there are no negatives to the paint itself, then this might be useful even on white car.

Yes, the film itself will yellow a bit over time (UV effects)... I haven't seen many negatives to the film really...

It won't yellow your car's paint at all, just the bra. And a good bra that's maintained with the right cleaners shouldn't yellow much if at all. Most yellowing these days comes from using the wrong cleaners. Some comes from oil on the street though.

Disclaimer : This is information I got last week from a well respected installer near Chicago.

OK so we had the 3M clear bra all over the front of our old '09 RX. Did a great job too. Of course we got our windshield cracked during that time.
Now we have the Q 5 and didn't get it.
REASON, when we traded in our RX they never even looked at the paint. Was it a waste of $$? No, I don't think it was but we decided it wasn't worth the aprox. $500 this time.

I have one on 09 Ibis White, been on for 2+ years now. Starting to yellow a little. Very difficult DIY because of all the compound curves. Comes in about 8 pieces.

Like others mentioned, the bra (film) itself might get a bit of yellowish... but not like yellow yellow. It doesn't effect the paint and the bra can be removed and install a new one if you wish.
