Charged $71.75 for Audi Leather Care at dealer
My wife took in the Q5 for it's first service and I asked her to pick up Audi's Leather Care and fuel additive. I expected it to be a little expensive at a dealer, but I was shocked when she came home and found out she was charged $71.55 for leather care alone. This is 2 small bottles, part number 4L0-096-372-015. I see it listed at several places Amazon and others for about $40. This is our first Audi and therefore our first time using this dealer, but it looks to me like they just blatantly ripped her off. I'd like to find the leather care on an official Audi site to find out what the retail price is. Does anybody know where I can see the official retail price from Audi?
The gas additive was $16.46 -- this is expensive for what it is but about what I expected at a dealer, but the leather car seems crazy.
Yes, I know there are other leather products out there (Zaino, leatherique, Lexol) and I have most of them already, but I really wanted to try the Audi product.

I looked on audi-collection.com but didn't find it. I can tell you that genuineaudiparts.com lists the MSRP as $41.00 and their on-line price as $35.59. I've just had a very good buying experience from this website for 'genuine' audi accessories.

Thanks, that helps. It looks like they ripped her off on the fuel additive too (G-001-770-A2) -- they sold it for $16.46, I see it for $7.28 at Audi of Alexandria and for $10.37 (showing MSRP of $11.41) at eurocarautoparts.com. I wish I could find the it on an official Audi site. I am not happy about this -- I'm going to call my sales rep (this is a very bad intro to the Audi brand) and I'd like to be able to reference official Audi prices.

I can understand your wanting to see it officially from an Audi source but I'll share with you that genuineaudiparts.com is actually Audi of San Diego and what they list as MSRP is the Audi price. I just got the all-weather mats and truck liner, the authentic Audi tow hitch cover and the 'Audi' accessory kit with the keychain, license plate surround and valve stem caps for less than what the all-weather mats alone costs through Audi. Oh, and that savings included almost $25 in shipping costs from San Diego to Richmond, Va. It really does pay to shop around for these 'genuine' Audi accessories.

Actually, the bottle is tiny, about the size of a shot glass. It's 90ml, which is 3.04 oz to be exact.

I just sent a note to my sales rep with links to genuineaudipart.com as a reference. My sales rep has been very good, so I'm certain he will take of it. I'm more interested in the service guy responsible getting nailed at this point than I am about the money (I already presume they will adjust the bill).
