The R8 in Hollywood must be like the A4 in every other community....

Lots of R8s and A-/S8s in that list. Surprisingly few S6s. No RS5s?

Based on this the Q5 is a girls vehicle.

Agreed. Out of the 20-30 Q5 drivers I've seen in the past year around town, all but 1 have been female. The Q5 is definitely a "chick car". I think the only reason there is a strong male presence on this forum is because males are generally more into cars. You rarely find females reading car websites.

Maybe. I still think the Q5 is a prime example of what you make it. Sporty/aggresive vs luxury.

The Q7 will always be viewed as a soccer mom car, but you can turn a Q7 into a pretty bangin ride if you wanted to. Most don't though.

There are only 3 Q5s running around Huntington, but all 3 are male drivers that I have seen.

Also, if I was a movie star dude, and I had that cash, I'm sure I'd be seen in Hollywood in an R8, RS5, S7, etc.

But the numbers on the boards are most certainly skewed toward the male audience for sure.

I've seen this discussion in the Lexus RS and BMW X3 forums. When I look at all the crossovers on the market, there are some designs that strike me as less masculine than others. Namely the Lexus and Acuras. For me it starts with the grill. I think the BMW and Audi designs are the most aggressive on their grills, scoops and shoulder lines.

However, much of this is related to culture and age differences. For sure you can't look at online forum participation as a gauge.

The Lexus is anything but aggressive. I completely agree with that! Not a fan!

My wife and I are expecting a baby boy in March which is why we got the Q5. Between my 4 legged "boy" dog, newborn boy and myself we will "manlify" the Q5 !!!!
