Came out clean to where you would have to look very carefully to know it was even modified.
Usually, the WeatherTech mats have a 1 - 2" raised lip around the edge to retain liquids/dirt. This is a very valuable feature.

I'm anticipating cutting out the bottom of the mat where the tire repair kit intrudes, but not cutting off the raised lip from the rest of the mat. I'll then reconnect the raised lip (shortened) to the edge of the cut mat with RTV silicone plus some reinforcement on the back side of the raised lip/mat join seam. For the reinforcement, I'm thinking about using some small 1" metal right-angle brackets bent to match the angle between the mat bottom and the raised lip. I'll glue those to the backside of the join seam with Gorilla Glue.

2nd! Canvasback and Audi cargo liner with small lip work perfect for me. Liner comes out when it's just the dog and luggage, with nothing spill able.

Always nice to have another discussion about the relative merits of WeatherTech and OEM mats, I guess you guys must be using those 3 foot skis again this season. For the rest of us that use "normal" skis we need something that'll protect the back of the rear seats when they're folded down, Canvasback will do this, but it doesn't do an especially good job catching snow melt. I still prefer some sort of a pad that I can take out and clean, I can also pull the pad back so that it covers the rear bumper when I sit on that to put on my boots.

The Audi liner is pretty thin and more likely to be cut or damaged.
+1 for WeatherTech. Got the full mat set and cargo liner from jcwhitney. Fit and feel are great on the front mats, the rear mats are just meh. The 2013 mats fit the MY14. Name your own price, free shipping and no tax. If you enter a really low price, they will automatically offer you their bottom dollar price.
I posted pics of them installed a few weeks back.

I also bought the WeatherTech rear seat mats, and I also give them a "meh" rating. The plastic/vinyl used isn't as thick as I expected. They don't seem to be that robust.

This is the serial number:4L0-885-215G

I think it is expensive when purchased separately, but when ordered with a new car costs around $ 100.

You should ask your dealer them to order a with a new delivery Q5

Am also looking for cargo protection for my shiny new SQ5, but am hoping to locate something that also protects the top of the bumper. When we put suitcases (or other heavy things) into the back I would like to prevent the bumper from scratching. My wife has a fabric piece that folds in and can be folded out to protect the bumper, though I think the original intent was to protect her pants/skirt from getting dirty when she leans into the back of her SUV. I had an add on for a Lexus once, that was a rubber piece that was 'appliqued' to the top of the bumper, which would also work.

Have not had much luck finding anything, any suggestions?
