Because Carfax makes lots of mistakes, and they offer no easy way to contact them or correct them. Ignore it and keep your window sticker, that and your VIN prove what the car is.

I keep getting emails from Carfax reporting that such and such service was done on my 2016 Q5 at such and such mileage and they are absolute b.s.

I would not rely on that service on a bet.
