Q5sleeper, your argument has to do with coking of the turbo, not carbon build up in intake valves as a result of DI. The justification that you make for early oil changes was addressed 15+ years ago by technology (oil quality and cooling of the turbos) and doesn't apply now.

Preventing carbon build up in an Q is like preventing cancer. We all know what might help with out knowing a direct cause and guess what? After we do everything right we still get it.
I know there have been many opinions and stabs( we can do without) but, since carbon build up is likely by design we can only do our best with good fuel and proper scheduled maintenance.
Every manufacturer has it's issues and carbon build up just happens to be one for our Q's. It's not an if, more likely when.....
