Default Can the washer fluid nozzles be adjusted?

I've had my Q5 for almost 2 months and my only real complaint is the wipers and washer nozzles, the really suck. The washer fluid doesn't spray on the windshield well enough to cover everything, especially on the passenger side, and the rear washer spray only goes about half way up the window so the top never gets clean enough unless I use a ton of fluid.

Is there any way to adjust the spray pattern of the nozzles? I'm going to mention it to my dealer at my first service but thats a long way off and its a bit of a drive to take it to them just for this annoyance.

Someone posted on here a while back that inserting a needle into the nozzle allows one to adjust it. Apparently the metal nub one sees where the fluid comes out is a ball joint and is adjustable. I've been meaning to adjust mine as well. I agree with you, the passenger side, and rear window washer fluid coverage is dismal at best. Good luck if you try adjusting them yourself, and report back how it comes out if you do.

This was the case a decade ago in Audis -- you could aim them with a needle. Glad to hear you can still do this (some cars aren't so friendly). I bet you can't adjust the spray pattern, though. HPH

How about rear washer? Have they adjusted it too?
