I have a '12 Audi Q5 Premium + with the B&O system, which I dropped off at the dealer for service. Got a '13 Q5 Prestige w B&O as a loaner, and the stereo sounds much better, especially the bottom end (bass)

Looking up, nothing specs have changed per say. Just curious if something is actually wrong with my '12 or did Audi improve the '13?

I'm not aware of any sound quality differences.
Did you get this impression using the same source material and the same DSP/Bass/Treble settings?

On other models there have been MMI updates that affected sound quality based on some people's reports. Maybe it's worth asking your Audi SA if there are any MMI updates for your 2012 model.
