APR Stage 1 Upgrade?

APR Stage 1 Upgrade?
Just purchased a 2013 Q5 2.0T and debating whether to get an APR Stage 1 upgrade to the ECU. Does anyone have any input, experience with this upgrade? Any input would be helpful. I know it technically voids the warranty, but would the servicing dealer actually find out about it? Thanks for your input.

A better place to find info on the APR Stage 1 ECU upgrade might be on VW forums. A lot of GTI owners do this because the bang for buck is unbeatable.
APR has a great reputation!

TD1 flag FTL

according to tuners, there's only one way around this: re-flash completely back to stock for every dealer visit! ...but even then I'm not sure there won't be a TD1 flag.
This is precisely why I ordered an SQ5 and RS7 instead of "settling" for the already excellent (and better value) Q5 3.0T and S7.

Not true?
Vehicles modified with STaSIS Signature Series products are clearly flagged in the Audi warranty system to enable faster diagnostics and better customer service. STaSIS customers can have their vehicles serviced and repaired under warranty at any Audi dealership across North America. This is unique to STaSIS.

Note that it doesn't say Audi warranty. STaSIS matches the factory warranty so you don't lose a warranty even though because of the modification (you'll still be TD1) you can lose the Audi warranty. (If it's something caused by the STaSIS products, then STaSIS will cover it since Audi won't.)
While it's not the original Audi-backed warranty, I would expect good service since it's dealers doing both and STaSIS wants to keep customers (and has a sizable price increase for their product).

APR stage 1
I'll talk about my observations - increase in overall gas mileage of 2-3 mpg and alot more torque - my wife can even feel the when it is flashed and it isn't. It was reflashed back to stock by the dealer as part of the oil consumption bulletin. I knew this may happen and had to pay an additional $150 to reflash it back to stage one (this is the cost of labor to remove the computer/ reflash/ reinstall).
