The emissions fix doesn’t cost anything, it is provided by an Audi dealer along with an extended warranty on the engine and emissions systems. The extended warranty is actually a good reason to buy this particular make and model of car.

If it has had the fix there will be a sticker under the hood to that effect.

we just bought a 2014 Q5 2.0 it had about 62,000 miles for just under $20,000. I take it to the dealer for service every 10,000 miles, they have packages you can buy on there website. it does cost about $800 for a package that cover 2 services but I feel it's worth it.

I too am researching the Q5 TDI and all if any issues it might have for the long term. Looks like it's a fabulous vehicle to own and drive.

The TDi is a great engine. I am at 88k miles and she has been bulletproof so far. Love the torque and the fuel mileage.

Just purchased 2015 Q5 TDI - 40k miles. Purchased sight unseen through cargurus.com. Very good experience in general, but
specifically I would call Audi Customer Service and get THEIR window sticker. Don't trust let Monroney label issued by the dealer.

I haven't had time to really drive it. My only problem is it has failed the NYS inspection. I now understand that you need
to drive it a bit to get 2 of 3 emission requirements to pass.

Otherwise am happy with my purchase.

Came from and still have 2003 allroad 6MT.

I have had my TDi inspected 5 times in New York State and this is the first I am hearing of an inspection issue. Where did you get this info from?

I did pass on my second try. Apparrently you need to drive it so it is warm and not cold.
