+1. I asked the service department for the cost for each service visit through 45k miles and the 35k visit is the breakeven point. You also never know when labor costs will go up, so you can think of it as protection against that too. For those who aren't inclined to do the work themselves, I think Audicare is worth it.

I am a few hundred miles away from my 15k service and am facing a serious debate between just doing the oil and filter changes myself versus purchasing Audi Care. I am quite capable of doing it myself and the experience would be good, but at the same time a have a slight feeling that the "professional" should do the service. I've been reading everyone's opinion on these threads, just haven't made up my mind yet. DIYer's opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's right. We've done the math here before and it wasn't worth it for me. Besides, I've always done my own basic maintenance.

Depends. Some folks got it thrown in with their deal. I didn't pay for mine. Sounds like if your water pump blew in the US you can get it for free as well.

Does not using Audi for maintenance void any warranty? My local guy will do an oil change for me for $100 but the 15k mile service is $270 at local Audi. I might pay the diff of $170 for peace of mind and hopefully a proper full inspection. Plus I have some issues I need addressed with squeaks\rattles etc...

Thanks

I paid $about $500-$600 for the Audi Care...which covers me for the five years (since I don't drive the Q a whole lot)....I sometimes feel i get treated better since i am audicare customer vs someone who's just walking in...just call one of the dealership (audi) and ask them how much would it be for 5K, 15K, 25K, 35K, and 45K service...and compare it with the AudiCare price...i was able to negotiate with my dealership

Not at all... you can use any reputable shop (or do it yourself) just know that you need to keep dated receipts and note miles in case you are ever challenged... (I was one time by the extended warranty company)

and you would think the dealership would do a complete inspection, etc... but I have no proof of that theory
