Default odd

I believe this is the 1st time it's been in the forum, actually my first time hearing about it. What I am saying is that it's very rare.

All good.

Haven't had the pump per se fail but have had two, separate failures in the system in the first 11K miles on our '14 3.0 TDI: at ~3500 miles the "urea sensor" (which may be a pressure sensor) and then at ~11000 miles the "urea level sensor". Both were replaced under warranty and the car ran fine until they were replaced (both had to be ordered from Germany). The latter one was intermittent in its turning the CE light on.

Well, here's the second one for you ... the pump failed in my wife's 2015 inside the first 100 miles. They replaced the pump and some seal (pump seal I guess), topped up the AdBlu tank and she's been perfect for over 1,200 miles now. I chalked it up to infant mortality ... just a bad (new) part.

Well had a little related scare myself just a while back. Was on my way back from AZ to CA. After pulling off the freeway to take a break, I started the car again and the CE light was on. I freaked out, but glad I had the Automatic thingie that can read codes. It reads something like sensor performance / range.

Good thing was I had my 15k service the very next day. Funny thing is in the morning of the service, the CE light was gone.

I reported to the SA, they checked the whole thing and told me the AdBlue was low. However I thought if it's low I'll get a different warning instead a CE light?

Anyway it's all good now. Loving the TDI!
