Man I had the flashing check engine light. The epc light on. She wasn’t accelerating. I had the pedal to the floor. I took it to a good mechanic. He changed the cylinders then did a compression test and said the engine is gone. Smh man I’m salty.

Timing chain jumped? Without more information it's impossible to say but also too early to conclude the engine is done. What is the reason the mechanic says it is done? Did you scan it with VCDS?

It's just a car. It's just money either spent or an asset worth less. It's just bad luck but with the 2.0T engine the odds are greater.

Unless you have access to free labor, move on. The salty feeling will go away with time.

Not near enough info. What does 'changed the cylinders' mean? Doesnt make sense. What were the compression values per cylinder?
