2015 q5. Flashing check engine light. Epc light.

Was told my engine is outta there. Should I roll with with what the best garage mechanic near me says?

How many miles on that engine? What is the basis for your mechanic's opinion? What are the camshaft angle readings? There isn't sufficient information to conclude whether your engine done or not.
