2011 Q5 3.2 Reliability
Hi All,
Just looking to hear what others' experiences have been with the 3.2 engine.
I've looked online and saw some posts about carbon build up, but haven't seen much other than that.
Having been a few years now, are there any well known issues with the 3.2 engine?
The specifics would be a 2011 Q5 3.2 Prestige at 45k miles.
Any insight would be appreciated!

I have a 2009 3.2 with ~74k miles and haven't had any major issues. I did have a misfire due to a bad coil and when the dealer replaced those they did the Carbon cleaning for free, that was about 5k ago.
I personally like my 3.2 over the 2.0T.

I have a 2010 Q5 with the 3.2L engine. Water pump was replaced under warranty. Nothing else has happened to the motor. Now at 205,000 miles and still love my car. I have not had the carbon buildup issue at all.

After the warranty: new gas pump under the service bulletin paid by Audi.
On my own I only changed driver's door lock and 2ry air injection system sensor.

Same vehicle and at 184k, hoping to get to your mileage as my primary vehicle - nice to hear. Any updates?
