Hi guys!



I have a 2011 Q5 2.0 TFSI and also have a 2016 A3 2.0 TFSI that I just got an accident with. The A3 engine is intact (Engine is at Stage 1+ ATM) and most of the other part are also intact but the car itself is a total wreck airbag popped and all. I was wondering if the engine I have in my A3 could fit my Q5 2011?

Take not that I have a basic knowledge in mechanics so maybe my question sound stupid but at this point my A3 is going to the scrapyard if I can’t put the engine in my Q5.



Also, I don’t have the engine number since I don’t exactly know where to find it so if you guys need any info regarding the engine so you can more easily answer my question please let me know and I will try to get it for you.

Engine code and options should be in trunk. It is a label of factory codes.

I'm sure someone is going to answer the question about the engine swap feasibility. Of course the A3 is transverse engine mount and Q5 is longitudinal mount.
