Wow, I'm at 50,000 plus and haven't even thought about the brakes yet. Rotated the tires last night and noticed that the rotors still looked like new. Didn't even look at the pads. Got 80,000 plus on pads on my BMW X3 before a wear indicator went off on a front one. You guys must be the ones in the car in front of me on the highway with the brake lights on all the time.

If you take highway to your job and do 50-60 miles a day, w/o traffic, it is not going to wear out brakes quickly; on the other hand I only drive 15-20 miles a day in a city traffic, so my brakes will go out a lot sooner then yours

Can you guys chime in with how many miles you had before your front (or rear) brakes needed replacement? Also, any thought on the cost? I've got a 15% off card so it'll bring the price down to $655 but that still seems high and I am going to check some local indy shops. I know it's not that difficult a job but I'm not interested or able to do them myself. Thanks!
Wait for the brake lining indicator to fire.

Mine at 70k miles still had original pads and fronts were barely halfway...
