The odd thing is that they sell an umbrella case for that spot, which would seem redundant if they expected someone to use it for something like that. And as has been mentioned, nobody can fit anything behind that net.... Unless maybe the net is for hooking something onto (and not for putting something behind it), but since when has anyone made a storage net to be used like that?

My compact umbrella lives in the driver's door, seems to be happy there.

Both my 2013 Q7 & the wife's 2013 TTS have this net in the passenger footwell, but they're configured differently. In the TTS, her iPad Air fits perfectly since the net top loads. The Q7 front loads & is smaller so it is pretty much useless (I think I even tried putting the owners' manual in there & it wouldn't fit .

As I had mentioned in the previous thread - FWIW - There's a a pic of the AHP682 personal umbrella from the Audi Collection in my Q5; seems to fit fine to me. Granted, this is not a very large umbrella but will certainly do the job for 1 person.

Perhaps we should all complain--individually--to AudiUS that the Limoge (Waterford, Villeroy & Bach, whoever) leaded crystal bud vase was missing from the bud vase holder at the time of delivery?

It is an odd place, but it is about the right size for a bud vase. Rolls used to install those on the B-pillar.

Since this is obviously a problem I think you should sell your cars and buy one with no stupid net in it. On the other hand if this is all you can find to complain about, the Q must be an ok vehicle after all.

Well given the SQ5's range, I wasn't able to take him very far
