It's a rite of spring that I enjoy when I can finally swap out the winter mats with the carpet mats.

I leave my mats alone. My rite of spring is swapping winter wheels to summers wheels.

I have always used Weathertech, has anyone used Aries 3D floor liners? Thoughts?

Got kids so my brand new '14 Q5 TDI is fully adorned with the winter mats. Had it for 4 days now and loving every minute. Even with going through the learning curve with the MMI features. I plan to keep them in there full time.

Same for me too! I will do this when I swap out my winter wheels/tires.

While I've got the OEM mats it seems like the weather tech have a bigger lip which mainly helps in winter with all the snow a salt - salt being my biggest issue ive managed to get salt stains everywhere ;(

Our Q5 came with both the summer AND winter mats. Both sets are in a box as we ended up getting the Weathertec mats. After having looked at the fit of all 3 sets of mats the Weathertec mats win hands down. I was debating putting in the summer mats now that winter is over but the Weathertecs give so much better coverage overall. Even though the snow/salt is gone, the floor area could still get wet during the rainy season.

I keep the Weathertechs in year round. Sometimes I think I bring in more crap in the spring/summer/fall than I do in the winter with all the seeds, leaves, twigs, moss, old squirrel nests etc. that fall out of the trees over my driveway.

Same here. If I were to switch mats seasonally, it would be the opposite because of our dry and relatively warm winters. I really like the Audi rubber mats, even if they only say Q5, not SQ5. If anyone wants a brand-new set of grey carpet mats, let me know...you can have them. If/when these wear out, I will probably get the Weathertechs you speak of. Primarily because AlbertaBound say they fit even better. These fit perfectly, so I'd like to see a picture of the Weathertechs, how they look & fit. How much are they? More than the $330 stockers?
