Default TDI Break-In Procedures?

Howdy, I'm getting ready to head on vacation, which includes taking Euro Delivery of my new Q5 TDI on 10/09. Super-pumped, and this will be my first diesel I've ever owned.

For those of you that have taken delivery of TDIs, are there any recommended break-in procedures that need to be done? I'm planning on driving for about two weeks in Germany, and for one of my stops I'm planning on taking the Q5 onto the Nurburgring. Want to make sure I'm not being too crazy with it.

Refer to your Owner's Manual.......always the first step in new vehicle ownership, but basically, no full-throttle for the first 1000 miles and vary your speed.

Oops.....I broke every rule and every few days it gets a full throttle. No carbon build up for me!

I tried to be nice, but it likes it...lol

Heh, I'm pretty sure I'll break a fair amount of the rules, considering I'll be at the Nurburgring with the car within 5 days of picking it up.

As far as I know, they do not allow SUV's (including Q5's) on the 'ring...

Q5 on the 'ring was no problem - I asked when I got there, guy said no restrictions on vehicle type (other than -- oddly -- no race cars), I asked specifically about the Q5, and he responded "go have fun".

Driving the 'ring was epic - I have video on my GoPro that I'll post when I get back stateside. The TDI performed really well on the track -- the torque is unbelievable.

Had a BMW M3 (E92) spin out and crash just in front of me. :|

I posted a video in a new thread so it wouldn't get buried here.
