Big wheels and low profile tires on the SQ5 will hurt ride quality in favor of crisper handling.

No suspension on SQ5 is not identical to the standard model Q5
SQ5 has different shock absorber, springs, rubber stop

So, what is different about it? Same anti-roll bars. Are the springs or dampers different?

Good to know. I assume different part numbers for the anti-roll bars too?

I've always thought southern roads are much better than northern roads that go thru the seasonal freeze/thaw cycle... in other words, pot hole season.

Southern roads in general are much better than northern roads due to climate. Regional budgets play a big role too of course.

For example, when I was a kid traveling with my parents, my dad always commented that he was happy to return to Michigan and that the roads were noticably better than other states. That's back when Michigan had money coming out of it's ears. Now it's a bombed out, decrepit, crumbled 3rd world road system.
