I had premium plus stock size 235/60R18 as dedicated winters and had no issues.

Heavens sake you are not needing these WRC spike tires that make studs look wimpy...

I only wish I was lucky enough to need dedicated snows (read: I live in Virginia). The all seasons are fine for what we get around here, which includes some ski trips to Vermont.

That said, if I lived in some place where snows were the norm, I would go with 18's, maybe 19's, but certainly not 20's. No reason to pay more for everything while adding weight and giving up performance.
