Is this common on the Q5? I have a '13 and its to the point the radio doesn't even get used anymore. Its always been like this and am wondering if it is normal or should be checked out by the dealer.

Where do you live, are radio station transmitting antennas close by?

I also have a '13 and have had no issues with any of the reception for AM/FM/Sirius. Well to be honest I have never tried AM. Where I live though all the local stations broadcast in digital so I would actually say that reception is better than Sirius as far as sound and volume is concerned, it just seems louder and deeper with a lot more base to it. Although Sirius has no issues as far as static or losing stations. I wonder if you have a ground wire loose or something, if I remember correctly somebody else had an issue that ended up being a ground wire.

One station in our area has such a high squeel that I have to turn off the HD and just use the standard reception.
It only happens with one station.
