SQ5 looks definitly lower
I went to dealer this morning and SQ5 definitly looks lower. I didn't have something to mesure but the fender gap was a little smaller on SQ5. At least half an inch.
BTW, the are Canadian models.

I just don't get it! What's the big deal over the wheel arch gap, anyway? These are CUV's, regardless of model. Personally, I like the ride height and do not find the profile unflattering.

Where's the data?
I've checked the parts # and it didn't pan out so far, specifically for U.S. Q5's. Spijun weighed in, as have others. Actual measurements with a tape from the ground to top of fender lip were suggested. None were forthcoming. And even if there is some measurement delta (yet to be even determined), so far the part number delta hasn't been found anyway. Other things like slight diameter differences among the 18-21" choices tire choices could come in, effect of greater drivetrain weights among the motor choices if they re all supported by the same actual suspension, etc.
Ditto on the SQ wheel size and brake debate BTW. I recently suggested an easy way to check was to look at SQ spare sizing. Again, no data back even though they should be right there in the back.
Wishing it won't change what ever it actually is, with the objective part #s and physical measurements to validate it. If anything so far what seems to be validated from the owner's manual and door sticker sightings is they cranked up the tire air pressure on the SQ5. If that turns out to be the only validated difference, Audi might want to get its marketing in the U.S. right about any supposedly sport tuned suspensions since that's downright laughable.

I have come to the conclusion that the Canadian SQ5s are lowered and the US SQ5s are not. Damn you AudiNA!

To Soonerfan's point, at least as far as I'm concerned, it is an aesthetic point and one of differentiation. I don't believe that many of us would be driving the car to a point where a 1.3" lower center of gravity would make a noticeable difference.

I went back to take some measurements and... Both had exactly the same distance from ground to fender!!!!!!!!
Anyway, it definitly looks lower.
