Default Wheels

Hello,

I had a very unfortunate accident at the beginning of the week.

It was very icy and I didn't negotiate a turn well and ended up hitting the curb at a local Starbucks. So as you can imagine, I have fresh curb rash on my drivers side wheel. It looks horrible. I want to replace it but have no idea where to begin looking. Anyone have any suggestions???

I have the 8.5J X 20" 5-Arm Design that came on the 14' Q5 TDI. Any help or suggestion are extremely appreciated.

Thanks!

Do a google search for a alloy wheel repair company in your area!!! Those guys can do wonders with a wheel. You can also try Discount Tire. They will ship the wheel off and have it repaired. Very fast turnaround.

If it's just a rash, fixing it is the way to go. If it's bent: http://audiusaparts.com/partlocator/...subcat1=208698

I'll second the wheel repair route. If the damage is only cosmetic, a repair will be only a fraction of a new wheel cost. I did the same to one of my wheels recently and dropped it off at my dealer who has a wheel repair guy that comes in once a week. In a few hours he did an amazing job - I couldn't detect the gouges or find any mismatched paint. Good as new and only cost $125.

At a different time, I hit a pretty deep pothole and was getting vibrations. I took the car to a wheel straightener specialist who checked all the wheels and discovered two were bent. While I watched, he straightened each on his jig and rebalanced them for about $90 per wheel. Afterward, the vibrations were gone.
