I never use the ashtray to hold coins.

I do live in a city that has metered parking, but I carry rolls of quarters for that purpose, that stay rolled up and I try to never have lose change in the car.

It is a shallow ashtray. If you use the power socket for power and prefer to leave the lighter in the ashtray...Snug, isn't it?

But if you remove the ashtray LINER, there's lots more room. Not a lot, but lots more.
