Default Newbie - is there an automatic fuel release? cap release?

In my old A4, there should be a button near the truck-lid release button to release the fuel door automatically, but in my Q5, I am unable to find any.

I am hoping that manually depressing the fuel door is not the only way to open it... any clue?

Do you have Prestige or Premium Plus?
In other words - do you have comfort access ?

My car is basically premium plus with Nav. Didn't remember seeing any 'comfort access'...

Didn't see anything obvious in here also. http://models.audiusa.com/q5/standard-features#all It only talks about centralized locking for door/truck/fuel door

In tne Q5, there is no fuel door release switch, just pops open if the doors are unlocked.

No door release, you just push on the door, and it opens. It will not open if pushed on when the doors are locked.

On a recent fill-up, we knew about just tapping on the fuel door, but not about the car needing to be unlocked. Imagine our surprise when I accidentally hit the lock button on the key fob. Hmm.. Maybe if I press it on this spot. No? How about that spot? Figured it out after a bit, but while in the middle of it, we were really scratching our heads

A good SA always go over new car with his customer and explain small details, like this.

That is exactly right. When I did mine, the SA specifically pointed this out as he stated that this is one of the highest asked questions AoA and the dealer gets.

Thanks all. I am still disappointed about a missing feature that I
was happily using in my '08 A4.
