Headlight Removal?

Headlight Assembly Removal?
Not the bulb but entire unit. Unfortunately had to go to car wash and a piece of the bright blue foam wash strand got lodged in the passenger(right) side corner all the way back and it's driving me crazy. Just breaks when try to pull it out. Need to basically slide headlight out/forward to get it.
Aaarrrgh!

how about taking a small thin knife edge and
pushing it back down while gentle pulling down to slide out
just reversing how it slid in ?
might be easier than pulling whole assembly ...

Tried everything. It's wedged too tightly and can not get back far enough to pull it out. No option other than sliding assembly forward and removing it. Drives me nuts, already lightly scratched paint trying everything.
They really need to come out with a repair manual!!!!!!!!!
Hoping Spijun chimes in

Thanks Spijun. I'll look tonight. I need to remove or slide the entire right/passenger side headlight assembly forward to clear the debris lodged all the way back by the amber reflector. No idea how it wound up that far back!
**** it is a xenon unit if that makes a difference.

Can the headlight be loosened just enough to wiggle it a little? So you can fish out the loose strand?
I'd like to know also since I bought some bulk headlight film and would like to wrap the headlight and go around the corners if possible.
