Default OEM Trailer Module Coding How-To

Posted this up on Audizine as well, might as well share here too!
So this weekend I finished up my OEM trailer hitch install with the coding portion on my 2016 Audi Q5 3.0T. I decided to further make it OEM fit by ordering the $50 plastic bracket that the module sits in, part #8R0907297A.
So to start off there are two plugs and one ground wire off the OEM 7 way hitch plug wiring, one plug goes into the actual hitch module, the smaller two prong (taillight?) wire goes into a plug that is already part of the OEM wiring on the SUV and the ground goes with the other ground wires.
The other plug (red) that needs to plug into the module is also already part of the OEM wiring near the female plug for the two prong one. They both can be found off the thicker wiring harness on the left side area, they both have foam insulation around them.

Once you plug everything in and attach the ground wire, comes the fun VAGCOM coding part.
First you must enable the trailer via the 19-CAN Gateway. Go down the list and find "Trailer" and check the box, Save the coding.
I believe after this it asked if I wanted to use the stored values in the module I just enabled, which I decided to do.
After that you have to edit the following modules:

01-Engine
03-ABS
09-Central Electronics
6C-Backup Camera
69-Trailer

01-Engine, I changed Byte 6 from "26" to "36", I believe it had some verbiage to do with changing from RoW to the US.
03-ABS, you need to first enter the Security Access Code 61378. Then I changed Byte 2 from "1D" to "9D" which again had to do with changing it to North American settings.
09-Central Electronics, check the check box for Byte 18 Bit 5.
6C-Backup Camera, the pop up window said to add "1" to the third digit for the trailer code, so my value in the Software Coding went from 1020010-->1030010
69-Trailer, mine was set to RoW by default you need to set it to North America/US or else your trailers lights won't function correctly. Change the drop down first then "Exit". Now at the bottom of the screen are a few boxes you need to enter info into. Where it says WSC put "12345", Importer "444", and Equipment # "00001" then "Do It". It should accept the coding.

Obviously after each change above you must Save the changes etc. After all said and done I re-checked for errors, which I did not have any now.

Hopefully this helps anyone that needs to code the OEM trailer hitch module

Thanks for the info I have the oem trailer electronics and plan to install it soon. Thinking of installing the stealth hitch, comments? Any suggestions on where to find good info on removing the rear bumper?

Rear bumper removal is fairly straight forward but requires you to pull a lot of the trunk interior out. Here are the OEM instructions.
People either love or hate the stealth hitch, as much as aesthetically it would look better than OEM. I didn't wanna have to install more pieces when I want to use it and the OEM hitch really doesn't look bad IMO.
Plus I didn't want to have to source the OEM module/wiring separately since I got the whole OEM kit for $500ish shipped.

Thank you, and only 75 easy steps! Any comments on the Draw-Tite hitch?

Draw-Tite seems to be very similar to OEM, if you already have the OEM module/wiring it's not a bad inexpensive option.
