Default Front License Plate

Hello

I just recently received my plates and I do have the front license plate bracket... but the hole do not align with the holes on the license plate.

Is there a additional bracket or mount I need to buy? or Do I just need to drill holes into the bracket? It seems meaningless of having a front licence plate bracket if plates don't fit into them....

Thank you for the help in advance

Just drill the plate into the bracket. Better than drilling it into your painted bumper right?

Just to confirm, does your front bracket look like this:

If it does then you just drill the plate into the bracket.

Yes it's the same bracket.

I guess I will just have to drill the holes into them.

Drilling is so 1950's. (G)

Buy a roll of exterior grade double-sided mounting tape, i.e. the gray tape from 3M sold at Home Depot, about 3 yards for $8. Clean both surfaces, be generous with the tape, give it 24 hours to cure the bond. That sucker's not coming off without some work.

No holes required.

I don't think you need to drill anything, although a small guide hole might help. Just use self-tapping screws and drive them through the soft plastic.

Your dealer will possibly put the plates on free. Check with them, specially if you have reservations. It took them about 5 min and four screws to install mine.
