Default Importing Audi CD'S

I admit to being being totally lost tech wise, but can Audio Cd's be imported into the Jukebox - or elsewhere? I placed the CD in the slot and pressed import and source, but was not able to successfully import that CD anywhere.

you will need to unlock the hidden menu on the MMI and change the settings to allow you to rip CDs and SD card music to the MMI harddrive

you will need a vagcom data cable to unlock this menu.

I have no problem importing to the Jukebox from an SD card with no mod necessary. I believe the importing from an original store bought CD is what requires the hidden menu mod due to copy protection.

This is correct. SD files can be imported to the harddrive. Also, on a 2013/14, enabling the import CD option in the hidden menu does not work. CD's still cannot be imported.

Unfortunately, I can confirm - 2014 with hidden menu enabled - CD ripping not available!

Yes, I believe I did it correctly as well - if you have a link to something that worked for you, I'm more than game to try again! :-)

Solution:

1. Rip your CD's at your computer. (It will rip faster there anyway)
2. Copy the ripped files to an SD card
3. Import your CDs to the MMI via SD card in multiples, rather than one at a time.
